What is the designer’s role in an over-consuming post-industrialized world?

 

This set of luminaries explores the optical effects of different light emitting materials. The aim was to mimic a feeling of being a part of something, to create an ability to change something, and to curate a feeling of responsibility.​

The experience differs when the observer moves around the luminaries. It makes the observer a part of the objects and creates a self-awareness.

Visible constructions are used to create a better understanding of the production processes behind the objects. To understand the world one must first understand the surroundings.

Light makes it possible for us to perceive the world, and can be used to make us perceive it differently.
